There are several types of tasks in Family island, and some quests require you to have all the necessary items in stock, until the task is fully completed.

Keep in mind that you should not spend quest items for craft, trade or upgrades until the task is marked as finished. Otherwise, the counter may set back, and you'll have to craft items again!
