We've cooked up this handy guide to tackle any issues that might pop up while you're playing the game.
If your game is freezing, crashing, not loading, or behaving irregularly, try these to get back on track: 🛠️
- Double check that you have the latest update of the game installed
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection (and switch to WiFi if you can)
- Close all other background apps and restart your device, leaving it off for at least 10 seconds
- Free up some memory on your device and turn off power-saving mode (if it's enabled)
📱 Using an older device? Check if your trusty gadget meets these requirements:
- Android: Version 5.0 or higher and at least 2GB RAM
- iOS: Version 9.3 or higher and at least 2GB RAM
🆘 Still Need Help?
If you're still feeling stuck, try uninstalling the Family Island app and then reinstalling it.
🌟 But wait! Don't forget to take a screenshot of your Settings or write down your Support ID before (Menu → Settings → Support ID on the bottom).
That way, if something happens with your progress, you can message us with your ID and we'll help make sure your progress remains intact.
If you're an Android islander, clear cache before reinstalling the game:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap on 'Apps' or 'Applications'
- Find the Family Island app and give it a tap
- Tap on 'Storage'
- Tap on 'Clear Cache'
